Items collection

Many of you want donate clothes and other items to refugees, and we are often asked to provide details of collection points and times.

One of our members, Alexine Tinne, has a connection to RAFT – Refugee Aid From Taunton – and will happily take a car-boot load to Taunton. If we can collect more than that, someone from Taunton will pick up from us. Alexine is happy to be contacted re RAFT: alexandrina@live.co.uk .

 

Newton Crisis Aid run a collection point at Newton Abbot Racecourse on Thursdays – 2.00 12088230_10206097475103511_2722814425190221440_nto 4.00p.m. which also links with RAFT taking clothing etc roughly every fortnight.
They will take any donations; things deemed unsuitable can be sold in their shop in Taunton and the proceeds used to buy food and medical supplies.
Please note that they are always looking for volunteers to help sort donations.

Open Hearts Open Borders – Refugee Aid started as a small charitable project in Plymouth to send aid to Calais, and grew into sending aid to Syria, Greece, Dunkirk and Calais. They have a very easy to navigate website and a number of collection points.
